Katherine Sue Rose Lewis, 60, passed away on Thursday, June 14th, 2018.
Katherine was born December 29th, 1957 to Manfray and Donna Lewis in Byron, Michigan. She served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. During her time in the Navy she was able to travel and live in Europe, and after retiring she settled down in Norfolk, VA with her family. Not to long after settling down in Norfolk she began a second career at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. When Katherine was not working she spent her time in her garden or crocheting beautiful afghans for friends and family. She was a very hard worker and a loyal friend to many.
Left to cherish her memory are: daughter, Jennifer Sayers of Norfolk, Virginia; son, Benjamin Sayers of Newport News, Virginia; mother, Donna Jean Lewis of Flint, Michigan and four siblings also in Michigan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2 PM at Norview United Methodist Church. 1112 Norview Ave Norfolk, VA 23513. Afterwards there will be a reception for a time of food and to visit with friends and family. The family also asks if guest would wear fun colors to celebrate the memory of Katherine.
