Obituary for David Warren Ballentine

David Warren Ballentine
David Warren Ballentine, 55, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 20th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
David was born January 21, 1963 to Jim and Rita Ballentine in Birmingham, Alabama. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, David went to work as an Electrician working his way up to Electrical Inspector for HDR INC. Education and leadership were very important to David. He was an Electrical Instructor for Associate Builders and Contractors Incorporated and had a weekly podcast “Surging Forward”, where he encouraged and mentored to tradesmen around the world. David’s commitment to his trade, his country, to Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his family was shown in every aspect of his life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing golf, and collecting eagles. David loved looking towards the future and using future technologies like in Star Trek He was also a big fan of home automation. David’s greatest joy was being with his family. Before passing he was able to give away his daughter to be married to her fiancé Evan and pass on his covering and blessing to them. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish his memory is: his loving wife of 34 years, Valerie Ballentine; son, David Ballentine; daughter, Aimee Ballentine and fiancé, Evan; and parents, Jim and Rita Ballentine.

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday May 24th, 2018 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Please share your condolences with the family at www.FamilyChoiceFunerals.com
