Kobe Kaseim James was born September 28, 2008 at Chesapeake General Hospital to Jasmine Swan and Trashawn James, and went home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 16, 2018.
He was in the 4th grade at College Park Elementary School where he was widely known for his spunk and his love for basketball. He was an old soul and was affectionately known as Grandpa and/or Stink by those close to him. Kobe was always looking to make others smile- quick to come up with a silly joke to brighten up everyone's day. He loved to have a fresh pair of kicks, a clean haircut, and no one has known a food that Kobe didn't want to eat. Although he was his mother's 3rd out of 4 children (and only son), he was the man of the house, looking after his sisters, taking out the trash, and telling when the telling had to be told. Kobe loved spending time with his sisters, however, he and his brother were thick as thieves. Though he was a young child, everyone was touched by Kobe's gentle and kind spirit.
Kobe is predeceased by his grandparents Carolyn James, Paula Carty, and James Blount. Kobe is survived by his mother, Jasmine Swan, father, Trashawn James, 3 brothers Tyshawn, Jaquan, Brandon, 5 sisters Queivet, Jaida, J'Lani, Treshaun, and Ari'yana, aunts, uncles, and a vast number of family and friends. We love you Kobe, you are truly missed and you will never be forgotten.
