Melissa Ann Smith, 55, passed away on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Melissa Ann Smith was a woman full of life. When she wasn’t celebrating life with her friends and family you could find her by the water fishing, sailing, or camping. She loved the outdoors, gambling, and people. She brought laughter and joy with her everywhere she went. She always had a smile on her face, a game to play, and a story to share. She dedicated her life to helping others by obtaining her Master’s in Nursing from MCV in 1988. Along with this degree came a passion for life-long learning and helping other’s heal. Her greatest accomplishment was in parenting her son Mackey. Melissa is survived by her son, mother, father, three sisters, nephews and niece. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm, Sunday June 10th, 2018 at Northbay Shore Campground. 3257 Colechester Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
