Proving to be too good for this world, Nicole “Nikki” Cunha, aged 42, passed peacefully on July 19 surrounded by loved ones. Always vibrant and full of life, Nicole loved spending time with her son and husband, as well as relaxing at the beach. Nicole never met a stranger, just a new friend. At the time of her passing, Nicole was involved in several projects, including a nonprofit organization headed by her uncle Mario, an autobiography, and a business in its infancy. A commanding presence, Nicole advocated for dental safety for children and was interviewed by several national television programs for her work with the Raven Maria Blanco Foundation.
Nicole is survived by her husband, Mark Cunha; her son, Phoenix Cunha; two brothers; two sisters; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many beloved friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother Marilyn; her uncle Richie; and her cousins Vanessa, Raven, and Joseph.
An intimate ceremony for family and friends will take place in the coming weeks, but no formal memorial is planned at this time.
