Henry “Bud” Fisher, 75, passed away on May 27, 2017 after complications resulting from a heart attack the week prior. Bud was born on October 23, 1941 to Ovenea Constantine Fisher and Harold C. Fisher. Bud was raised in the Norview section of Norfolk and remained a “Norview Boy” to the core ever since. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves as a young man, and retired after 32 years of civil service at both the Norfolk Naval Supply Center and Dam Neck Annex where he was a Combat Systems Integration Test Officer and eventually retired as a Public Affairs Officer for Combat Direction Systems Activity.
Bud was a generous man with a unique perspective and was a legitimately talented artist. Bud loved surf fishing, history, politics, film, all things Greek (which was everything), and most of all, his family.
Bud is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vickie (Moore); his two sons, Steven Eric (Kimberly) and granddaughter Sophia; Travis (Holly) and two grandsons, Luke and Clark.
In keeping with Bud’s wishes, there will be no formal memorial services. His ashes will be appropriately scattered at sea by his immediate family at a later date.
