Ronald C. Rhodes, 67, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Ronald was born May 29, 1949 in Morris Plains, New Jersey to Ronald Rhodes, Sr. and Roberta Amelio. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. Ronald was a kind person who would share a smile or help anyone in need. He loved his country and what it stood for. Ronald was an avid reader on the Civil War and loved collecting guns. Ronald will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory are: devoted wife of 44 years, Amelia Rhodes; two sons: Andrew Rhodes and Matthew Rhodes; two daughters: Nelita Zoscak and husband Donald, Elizabeth Pangilinan and husband Ely; five grandchildren: Aaron Pangilinan, Nikolaos Rhodes, Jessica Pangilinan, Alanna Zoscak, John Zoscak; two brothers: Joseph and Mark Amelio; two aunts: Mary Scripture and Beverly Rhodes; five cousins: Ginny, George, JR Bauer; Heidi and George Scripture, Jr.; best friends: Carl and Anna Fusco and numerous family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 pm, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations. A mass of the resurrection will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Following the service, the family invites everyone to join them for a reception in the fellowship hall. Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 17, 2016 at Albert G.
